Setting up an email account.

Your hosting package with Duvall Technologies provides unlimited email addresses on any/all of your domains. Here is how you set up a new email account.

First log in to your control panel by going to http://www.yourdomain.com/cpanel where yourdomain.com is the domain you have registered as the main domain on your hosting account.

Next click on Email Acconts.

At the top of the page you will see a section that says "Add a New Email Account". In the first input field put the email address you want to add and use the dropdown box next to it to select the domain you want it on. IE: If you want to setup "sales@somesalessite.com" you would enter "sales" into the first box and make sure you select "somesalessite.com" in the dropdown box next to it.

In the next box enter a password for the email account. Make sure it is a secure password. Although we have strong firewalls in place to prevent unauthorized users from getting in to your account, it is always a good idea to use a secure password to help in that security.

In the following box repeate the password.

In the next field you can set a maximum mailbox quota. This field is optional but it is suggested that you set a quota as the space your email accounts take up count against your overall disk space quota. In addition to setting a quota it is reccommended that you encourage your email users to refrain from leaving copies of their email on the server.

When you are finished click "Create" and you will be presented with a confirmation page giving you the detailes on the email account as well as giving you the option to automatically set up your email client.

The email login will be email+domain.com where "email" is the email address you just created and "domain.com" is the domain you just set it up on.

The password is the password you just created.

The incoming and outgoing mail servers (POP, IMAP, and SMTP) are mail.yourdomain.com where yourdomain.com is the domain associated with your hosting account.

You can also access webmail by going to http://www.yourdomain.com/webmail where yourdomain.com is the domain associated with your hosting account.
